Tools

Tools are the places in Busroot where you see metrics or act on them. Most tools serve several capabilities, and each tool page links to the metrics it shows. Tools are in three groups:

• Connect (connect the shop floor): the hardware, network and device messages that get machine signals into Busroot, and the screens people use at the station.
• Control (run the shift): the live screens that supervisors and operators use during the shift to see what is happening now, respond to stops and run the schedule.
• Optimise (find the pattern): the charts, tables and reports that show performance over time, so you can find the causes of lost time, output, quality and energy.
